EPA and Army Corps Hosting WOTUS Listening Sessions

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Army Corps of Engineers opened discussions on the implementation of the definition of "waters of the United States" with stakeholders prior to taking further administrative action in order to clarify specific aspects of the definition in WOTUS.

The agencies will conduct six listening sessions to gather recommendations and input from stakeholders on various topics, including all stakeholders, states, tribes, industry, agriculture, and environmental and conservational sectors, to pursue further administrative action.

The sessions will be held in-person and virtually, involving stakeholders from various sectors, including states, tribes, industry, and the public.

During sessions, individuals or organizations are selected on a first-come, first-served basis for verbal recommendations. Speakers are limited to three minutes, and participants can be placed on a standby list. The listening sessions will be recorded and posted on the EPA's website.
