NEBA Actions to Support Industry

As many government programs are being shuttered and sidelined, the mitigation banking industry and its 30-plus-year track record of environmental and economic successes continue strong.

Be assured that NEBA continues to be ever-vigilant in promoting real mitigation banking law, policy, and practice.  And NEBA continues to share publicly its work and mitigation  industry data.

The private industry solution provided by environmental banking are being applied to some of the Nation’s most difficult environmental challenges.  All this work and investment done by private enterprise - not using taxpayer dollars or charitable donations.

NEBA will continue to press Washington in discussions with all pertinent senior officials to head off disruptions and roadblocks. And, we’ll continue coaching various states to compliance with the 2008 Mitigation Rule.

NEBA’s legislative committee has recently facilitated Guidance for Efficient, Timely Regulatory Reviews for Mitigation Banking and the Corps’ plan to Meet Mitigation Timeline and Expedite Credit Releases among other actions.

In the year ahead, NEBA will address head-on new challenges being brought on our environment and our industry, and we'll continue to advocate for high-quality environmental mitigation in Congress, the White House, and beyond.

NEBA's mission is more relevant and vital today than at any time in confronting the new threats posed to our industry.

Joining the National Environmental Banking Association benefits you and your business, helping to grow the industry and improve its standing.
