Member News – Gulf Coastal Plains Wetland Mitigation Bank

NEBA Member EcoSystem Renewal recently announced Phase 1 their Gulf Coastal Plains Wetland Mitigation Bank.

This environmentally and ecologically critical area consists of 464 acres located in Chambers County, Texas. Its boundaries include the Anahuac National Wildlife Reserve (ANWR) and west bank of the Elm Bayou.

The available credits include both Tidal Fringe and Riverine Herbaceous-Shrub wetland type, in the following FCUs: Physical (Phy), Chemical (Che), Biological (Bio) and/or Botanical (Bot)

Here is the breakdown:

  • Tidal Fringe: 27 Phy, 29 Che, 32 Bio, 32 Bot
  • Riverine Herbaceous-Shrub: 14.1 Phy, 12.6 Che, 14.2 bio
